Purpose
This policy sets out the clear standards, evaluation criteria, and ongoing performance requirements for all companies seeking and maintaining membership with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. It ensures that all members demonstrate professional integrity, quality of service, and a commitment to upholding the Chamber’s reputation and the highest industry practices within the UAE.
Objective
To ensure that only reputable, high-quality companies engaged in interior design, fit-out, and construction are approved for Dubai Chamber of Commerce membership, trust and value must be maintained for all stakeholders.
Eligibility criteria
Basic Requirements
- Must hold a valid Dubai trade license for interior design, décor, fit-out, or construction, with the company name and owner(s) clearly listed.
- Minimum of two (2) years of continuous operation in the UAE.
Portfolio & References
- Minimum of five (5) successfully completed projects in the UAE within the last three (3) years.
- Detailed portfolio including project descriptions, images, and completion certificates.
Peer-Review Panel Process
- Each application will undergo review by an independent peer-review panel comprising 3–5 industry professionals.
- The panel will assess project quality, compliance with safety and sustainability standards, and ethical business and payment practices.
- The panel may conduct site visits for high-value contractors and fit-out firms.
Board approval
- Peer-reviewed findings will be submitted to the Dubai Chamber Board.
- The Board reserves the right to approve or reject membership based on the panel’s recommendations and any substantiated complaints.
